The investigation was introduced to the death of Gene Hackman and Mrs. In Santa Fe Home: Report

The death of Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa are reportedly part of an active police investigation.

Hackman and Arakawa were both in their house in Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico, together with their dog, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza Santa Fe New Mexican Early on Thursday, February 27th.

With NBC News, the Sheriff's office announced that there is an “active and ongoing examination” in the couple's deaths.

The police were called to the residence for the first time on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. on the Old Sunset Trail in Santa Fe, “where Gene Hackman (95) and his wife Betsy Arakawa (64) and a dog died,” said the public information officer of the Sheriff, Denise Womack-Avila, in a statement to NBC News.

Womack-Avila added that “a foul is not suspected as a factor for these deaths, but the exact cause of death was not determined.”

The bodies of the actor Hackman and Arakawa were officially identified on Thursday morning until 12:30 p.m.

The Sheriff's office informed the local station Kob 4 that a neighbor called the police to carry out a social check, which led to the discovery of their bodies.

Hackman was a legendary screen actor with roles in The French connection, Superman And The royal Tenenbaumen. His wife Arakawa was a classic pianist. The couple married in 1991. Hackman shared three children with his first wife Faye Malteser – Christopher Allen Hackman, 63, Elizabeth Jean Hackman (61) and Leslie Ann Hackman (57).

The actor was a five-time Oscar-nominated and twice winner and played the villain Lex Luther in film 1978 Superhuman. He had a diverse career with roles in the animated film from 1998 Antz and the comedy from 1996 The bird cage. He pulled back from acting after 2004 Welcome to Mooseport.
