Yorkville expenditure 100,000 US

Construction improvements of a total of $ 100,000 in the Beecher Center and two other buildings in the city were unanimously approved by the city council of Yorkville at their meeting on February 25.

A bid of a total of $ 99,800 for all three replacement options for Filotto Roofing Inc. was approved by the city council. Filotto Roofing Inc. previously worked for St. Charles Park District.

The project includes the repair of the roofs on all three buildings to prevent leaks and repair damage through long -term exposure through extreme weather conditions.

The Beecher Center is a community meeting area with popular senior services and programs, including the Community Nutrition Network and the Senior Services Association.

The workers start building the three buildings this spring. In addition to the Beecer-Zentrum, the city replaces the roofs of two buildings in the city owned.

“The roof in the Beecher Center carried out numerous repairs to stop leaks and replace the lack of shingles, and has also reached its useful life,” said Eric Dhuse, director of Yorkville's public work in city documents.

The roof replacement for the two buildings for treatment plants is part of a multi -year effort by the city to replace some of the older and degraded roofs in the city buildings.

It is not to be expected that the components in the Beecher center will interfere with activities.
