An investigation was introduced to the tragic death of actor Genere Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa, who were found dead in their house in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Wednesday afternoon.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff office said on Thursday that there are “active and ongoing investigations” in Hackman and Arakawa's deaths, reports AZ, citing New York Post.

According to a statement by the public information officer of the Sheriff district, Denise Womack Avila, the MPs were called to an address on the Old Sunset Trail in Hyde Park on Wednesday at around 1:45 p.m.
