AI-generated video offered a imagination of 'Trump Gaza' far from reality

An AI-generated video that President Donald Trump shared about his social platform of the truth at the beginning of this week has received an important counter-reaction for his idyllic version of the Gaza torn, which turned into a resort in Rivera style.

Trump had proposed this month that the United States should take control of Gaza and rebuild – while the current Palestinian residents are moved to other countries, including Egypt and Jordan. Both nations of the Middle East have described such a plan as unrealistic and are not ready to see how the Palestinians are permanently sold out of the territory.

Palestinian officials have condemned the message of the video.

“This video and its humiliating content reflect the deeply rooted racist colonial way of thinking that tries to distort reality and justify the crime of the crew,” said Ismail al-Thawabtah, General Director of the Hamas-state media in Gaza. “By presenting Gaza as if it were a country without people, this desperate attempt aims to legitimize the continued ethnic cleaning of the Israeli occupation with clear American support.”

Reality vs. fantasy

In addition to the criticism that the video for what it means for the Palestinian people, the unanswered question is how such a project could possibly come together. As Al-Thawabtah noted, Gaza is not a country without a human-it is more than an empty desert. In fact, the video even sets up the scenes of the modern Gaza strip, such as almost a year and a half of the war with destroyed buildings and rubbing for a transformed modern city that resembles Dubai with skyscrapers, a beach resort and luxury yachts.

Although Trump only shared the video and apparently was not responsible for his creation, he said Fox News last Friday that he believed that such an exertion of converting Gaza into a resort was such a sound.

“The way to do this is my plan. I think that's the plan that really works. But I don't force it. I will just sit back and recommend it,” Trump told Fox News on Friday.

This does not mean that there is no support for the reconstruction of Gaza in the Middle East.

As the CNN report stated, Egypt has a plan that it claimed to take about three years before it is over 20 billion US dollars. The United Nations estimated that the proposed reconstruction work would cost at least 80 billion US dollars, while the extinguishing of the rubble could take years.

None of the current plans – apart from Trumps – has requested luxury hotels and a resort on the beach.

With AI-generated video it just looks just

The AI-generated video only shows that before and after and ends with Trump, next to Benjamin Netanyahu, relaxes on a beach as it is next summer. As the UN stated, however, such an endeavor would take years, maybe even decades.

A few years ago, the best Hollywood specialists for visual effects and video game designers would have spent weeks or months to make this video. Thanks to AI, such content can be generated in minutes – and this could increase the expectations of the liability of such a project.

“AI is the tool for this because they can create and convey a variety of images and create convincing videos much faster than Legacy tools,” said Rob Enderle from the Enderle Group, Analyst of the technology industry.

It can also be used for more shameful purposes.

“If your goal is to manipulate an audience, AI can be a convincing tool so that you get what you want,” warned Enderle. “AI is only a truth instrument if it is designed in this way and in a political context, a focus on accuracy is probably the need to manipulate a cheap decision so that I would not trust its accuracy in this case.”

'Trump Gaza' is unrealistic to say the least

The fact that Trump has shared the AI-generated video about the social truth can also indicate that such a result for Gaza strips is possible.

“Trump is the master of the short -lived,” said Scott Talan, senior professorial doctor for public communication at American University. “Think of his first term and North Korea. There was a lot of smoke and noise there, and he crossed the border, but nothing came of it.”

Talan explained that the same is probably with the plan to develop Gaza. It may sound good, but the reality is that it is still a competitive piece of land. The AI-generated video probably doesn't help to win fenders for the company.

“It's almost fun and strange with the pictures, but we are still talking about a very serious place where people die, prisoners are kept and people do not return to their houses,” warned Talan.

AI could help with the reconstruction – maybe

Take out the pictures of gold statues, night clubs and luxury yachts, and AI could still play a role in reconstruction of Gaza. The result is probably similar to the video that will be shared on social media this week, but the AI could be used to change the city's urban centers.

But it has to be used responsibly.

“AI can carry out estimates of the time that will take the costs of the effort to achieve what you consider to be optimal. If the AI, if you are properly trained, you can continue to optimize the results based on a variety of factors, including traffic, costs, social interaction, mix of living space and industry and closeness to resources such as water, electricity, external, etc. Estimates, costs and effects can turn out to be completely wrong, although the pictures are extremely convincing. “
