Jury for Highland Park Mass Shooting Trial selected; Opening statements for Monday

Twelve jurors and six deputies were selected in the murder process against Robert Crimo III, the man who was accused of killing seven people and dozens more in one Mass shootings at the parade on July fourth in Highland Park in 2022.

The last jury and six deputies were sitting on Wednesday, the third day of the jury's selection. The opening statements begin on Monday.

The 12-member jury includes a domestic hospice nurse, a man who owns a freight forwarding company, a part-time student who dreams of becoming a fireman and paramedic, and a woman whose great-grandfather shot two police officers in 1916.

Crimo did not take part in the last selection of the jury on Wednesday. During the The first two days of selecting the juryHe was on trial for the first half of the jury, but did not return after the lunch break of every day.
