Supercross 2025 Daytona Preview: Top Surfaces, former winners who can be seen

Many venues in the Monster Energy Supercross series have rich stories, but no more than the annual round on the front of the Daytona International Speedway. This is the only race run that is continuously in the 51-year history of sport, and Dirt Bike drivers want to win it as much as every Nascar driver ever wanted the Daytona 500 Trophy or a sports car racing driver if the Rolex is accompanied by the Daytona 24 hours.

Unfortunately, Eli Tomac has held for most drivers in the field from achieving her goals. He joined last year's Daytona Supercross with a record of seven wins. Tomac was replaced by Jett Lawrence last year.

Fortunately for the competition, a new Daytona winner is guaranteed this year, since neither Tomac nor Lawrence are healthy enough to assemble your bikes. The field is open for the first time since 2004 unless Justin Brayton is unexpectedly retired.

The favorite this week depends on how to look at the numbers.

Chase Sexton is the only active driver with a current panel series with three breeds, after he had occupied last year behind Lawrence and Tomac and behind Tomac and Cooper Webb in the two races before 2024. Sexton has momentum on his side and is highly motivated to win.

Webb ended a position from the podium in 2024, but before that he was in Tomac three seasons from 2021 to 2023 and was on the podium in six consecutive races. In view of the two-round victory from Webb in 2025, it is easy to make it as a favorite. In fact, webbs was the worst performance on this route its fourth place last year.

Sexton took eighth place on his first attempt in 2021.

According to Clinton Fowler Wewentfast.comWebb will be difficult to beat when he leaves Daytona with the red plate. That read twice that he did, he never gave it up in 2021 and 2019. In the meantime, Sexton was faulty in his 450 career and is more when he tries to overcome a deficit like last week in the third race of the Arlington Triple Crown.

The disadvantage is that webb only won three consecutive races once in his career, and that was in the Residence of Arlington 2021, which was caused by the Covid 19 pandemic.

But Ken Roczen's name also adorns the panel list in recent years and it is probably more motivated than Sexton to win. Roczen took second place in 2020 and 2014. He hardly missed the podium in 2021 with fourth place and fifth place last year. Roczen stays in the title hunt after he has achieved five podiums in seven rounds, but he continues to lose a few points every week because WebB and Sexton score victories.

In the 250 division, the Eastern Division returns after two rounds of the west competition.

Max Anstie has the red plate and the swing on his side. If not for a red flag 11. He was passed by Levi Kitchen after a caution was careful with seven seconds in Detroit, but Stieben has a lead of nine points because the kitchen had to struggle in the Eastern goal in Tampa.

Three is the operational number for stings. This will be his third start of Daytona. His best effort achieved a third in 2023.

Tom Vialle won the last year's edition of this race and needed success to climb the points of third parties.

Austin Forkner also won on this track in 2019, and of course this is a way that fits well into its wide -open riding style.

Kitchen and Maximus Vohland will make their debut in Daytona this week.
