Warmer temperatures lead to the end of the snowman of Milltown

Milltown, Wisconsin (Inter -County Leader) – While most of us enjoyed temperatures in the 40s and even in the low 50s, the warmer weather led to the early end of Milltown's Jeffrey The Snowman.

The crews with Carlson Construction worked on Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 27, hard and removed the gigantic hat, the buttons and other objects from the snowman. Owner Craig Carlson said: “We just cannot compete with the warmer temperatures that came at the beginning of this week and seem to stay with it. At the beginning of this week the nose fell out and one of the weapons becomes unstable. So we decided to end Jeffreys run earlier than expected. ”

Jeffrey also had a late start to the year when the crews could only build the annual milestone of Milltown in mid -January, and that was the collecting of snow from several parking spaces. Last year it wasn't nice either, and Carlson had to build a fake snowman for the first time.

Jeffrey started in 2019 and for several years of snow packaging – in 2020, 2021 and 2022 – meant that Jeffrey was for several months and became a local favorite. Visitors from Ohio and South Dakota signed Carlson's guest book this year.

Carlson says: “We hope to be back when the snowfall allows at the end of this year or early next year. We have some different ideas for 2025-26, so stay with it and see what will be new. “Jeffrey also serves as a fundraising campaign as a local scholarship; However, Carlson admits that donations were “far -losed” because of Jeffreys this year due to Jeffreys.
