Several cruelty to animals and drugs -related crimes mean that the man is charged

(Ottawa) The Ottawa police service charged a man for cruelty to animals and drugs-related crimes after an investigation of the cruelty to animals that started in January 2025.

According to the report of a veterinarian of animal welfare services, an examination for 34-year-old Andy Jay Ali from Jasper, Ontario, was incorporated. The subsequent examination resulted in additional veterinary clinics that dealt with the well -being of other animals.

Animal Welfare Services had previously confiscated an animal from Ali in October 2024.

A search order was carried out on February 21st in Ali's Residence^st2025. The tactical unit of the Ottawa police, the drug unit, the provincial police of Ontario and the province of animal welfare service supported the search order without incident, and Ali was taken into custody.

Four deceased dogs and a dog showed signs of neglect and abuse in the house. Drugs, drug utensils and Canadian currency were also found in the apartment.

Ali was charged:

• Certainly cause unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal (X4)
• Do not adhere to a publication order (X1)
• Ownership of property by crimes below 5000 USD (X1)
• Ownership of a substance of Timeplan I for trade (X6)
• Ownership of a substance of Timeplan III for trade (X1)

Ali was released on February 24th^TH2025, and will remain in custody until his next court date.
