Night work to reduce the traffic delays in the SR 111 street project in Palm Springs

Palm Springs, California (Kesq) – Palm Springs carries out a night plan for night work to reduce disorders caused by the construction of the SR 111 street project.

The announcement takes place after concerns from the community about strong traffic jams and long delays caused by the project during the day.

From the week of March 3, the construction will take place from Monday to Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

No work is planned for Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening.

City officials said that the adjustment of the schedule will significantly reduce the day of day traffic overload in connection with the project and at the same time ensure progress when improving the road.

What to expect
Effects

Residents and companies near the construction area can experience usual noises in connection with the night building in connection with strong equipment, backup signals and crew communication.

The lighting is used in the construction zones and vibrations of devices should be expected. Drivers should expect 111 blocking closures and possible detours, including limited access through intersections in the course of the pavement.

Timetable and traffic management

The paving companies will be continuous and mobile, with the crews working in one place for about 90 minutes before switching to the next section.

A trail in one direction is paved at the same time, followed by additional passports, to complete the remaining lanes.

The most important intersections are not closed at the same time to continue to ensure access at important points such as the Gene Autry Trail on Vista Chino, the Ramon Road, Dinah Shore/Mesquite and the East Palm Canyon Drive.
