Jepchirchir breaks the school record, wins silver on the first day of SEC – Auburn Tigers

Jepchirchir comes from Iten, Kenya, ran a strong race and drove at a time of 15: 33.37 to take second place in the 5 -km women. The best performance of an Au -newcomer in the Sec -Indoor since Joyce Kimeli became second as a rookie in 2019. Jepchirchir and the LSU newcomer Edna Chepkemoi ran together in the second and third positions at the beginning of the race, before Jepchirchir pulled back at 3800 m and defeated with a six-second pillow with a six second pillow over Edna. Sophomore Shonedra Richardson, who took part in her first indoor meeting of the conference, was 22. In the long jump of women with a brand of 5.77 m/18-11.25, her second best distance of the season.

The second day of the SEC indoor championships will be resumed on Friday at 11 a.m. with the men's weight throw, while the action on the route begins at 4 p.m. The Tigers will have 21 athletes in 11 events. The campaign on Friday is broadcast in the Sec Network+Live Streaming.
