Before Leicester City won the Premier League title in 2016, they pulled out one of the largest refugees to avoid relegation to the championship.

A repetition of it looks very unlikely this time – although your current situation is not so precarious.

In 2014-15 they were rooted in the foot of the table for a large part of the season and only relegated in April when seven victories from their last nine games brought them into unexpected security.

But this Leicester team hardly looks able to win a game, let alone on a victory.

“We'll get up again,” jury jerks Ruud van Nistelrooy after the game. “We are still in this fight, we are mathematically and we fight as long as possible.

“It must be clear that the fight was only half today and that is not enough.”
