Fluoride Bill could end fluoride supplement to drinking water

Legislators in Florida are considered to end fluoride in drinking water and to ban the use of the word “milk” to describe milk alternatives and to address many agricultural concerns that currently affect the state farmers.

Wilton Simpson, Agricultural Commissioner of Florida, informed the Herald tribune that the Florida Farm Bill is eliminated about health concerns with regard to fluoride in water supply, milk marking, “bureaucracy” for gun owners and problems with drones for hunters.

Simpson also asked President Donald Trump and federal politician to follow Florida's leadership and to adopt a national farm bill that is long overdue. He says that a lack of measures at the federal level has hindered agriculture for the nation for years.

“There are many challenges in the agricultural community, which mainly affect our little farmers,” said Simpson. “Tobility and access to workers are big challenges. Mother Nature – in recent years we have had many hurricanes who have been a major challenge for agriculture.

“If you think what really violates agriculture, there has been no federal law on agricultural farm for seven years,” he said. “You have many congress leaders who talk about the farm bill, but you never seem to do it. You should repeat the farm bill every five years … So you have not done a farm bill to give farmers relief that you need from all these different storms and natural disasters. There are many challenges that we have.”

Farm Bill targets fluoride in drinking water

A Federal Supreme Court in California ordered the environmental protection authority to strengthen the regulations for the use of fluoride in drinking water last September, since the Advocacy Group of the Food & Water Watch, Inc. claims that the agency ignores scientific evidence that has led to health concerns.

The general surgeon in Florida, Joseph Ladapo, then admitted local communities guidelines that demand an end to long -term meter practice. Simpson said that legislation in the farm bill would address the problem at the state level.

Not everyone agrees. Proponents of using fluoride in drinking water claim that fluoride is added to levels to be consumed, and the presence in drinking water helps to prevent tooth tax. They say that the matter could affect economically disadvantaged population groups due to the additional effects on dental care. According to an article from USA Today, it is one of the ten largest achievements of the public healthcare system of the last century.

“If Covid-19 taught us something, it is the case that the government has the ability to force health decisions without force our consent based on new facts,” said Simpson.

The Florida Farm Bill plans to assure consumers that nuts do not “get milk”,

If approved, the farm bill 2025 would prevent vegetable food alternatives for the use of the terms “milk”, “meat” or “poultry” as part of the product brand. The matter has been a heated topic of discussion between agricultural circles for years.

In 2023, the US Ministry of Agriculture granted a violent criticized by those who were criticized by those who opposed the use of the word “milk” to describe alternatives. The USDA was of the opinion that the terms “milk”, “drinks” or “drink” could be used to describe a vegetable alternative as long as phrasing comprises the original plant source.

In a blog post published in 2020, the American Vegan Society argued that NĂ¼sse has been used since the time of the American indigenous people to make nut milk in the United States, and that society “has” rejected “the cattle industrial baron.

Simpson called the practice for customers because the vegetable products are not derived from milk. He said the proposal was a means to support Florida Dairy farmers in the continuing currents during the term.

“This year's farm bill wants to protect how we characterize our citizens to ensure that they can see that there is a real difference here,” he said. “Just because something looks like a piece of meat or looks like milk is not making milk, and our farmers have a hard time fighting perception if they continue to advertise.

The Florida Farm Bill deals with the apartment crisis for agricultural workers

In the farm legislation of 2025, steps are also proposed to eliminate an apartment crisis for agricultural workers.

Simpson said that undocumented immigrants, contrary to the general opinion, do not make up the majority of agricultural workers in Florida. He said that improvements to the Federal H-2A program that enables American agricultural employers to legally hire foreign employees in order to temporarily fill seasonal agricultural workplaces-which could contain options for the construction of apartments for temporary workers on agricultural property, a key piece of the puzzle could be.

“Less than 5% of the people who work illegally in agriculture here,” said Simpson. “You work primarily in large cities in jobs in the hospitality industry. Building jobs. Things of this kind. So it is a very small concern for agriculture.

“Nevertheless, we should be able to build on our farms H2A apartments to do this work because we need it for the season we are in,” he said. During every season we should be able to have plenty of work to work on this farm and move freely in the country … This is a big thing that we will work this year, in the apartment crisis that we not only have in the state of Florida, but something that should be done everywhere in the nation. “
