The embezzlement of fund investigations leads to the arrest of the district officer, business owner-WSB-TV Channel 2

Long County, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a district commissioner and business owner this week.

According to the GBI official, Robert Donald Parker, 38, and business owner Tony Edward Fowler, were arrested after an examination of the embezzlement of district funds.

Parker was charged with three cases of theft by taking an indictment against the notice of office, a number of serious bodily harm and a violation of the Georgia racketeering Act (Rico).

Fowler is loaded with two theft theft.

On Thursday, the GBI and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Georgia State Patrol, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the General Prosecutor Georgia carried out three search commands in the houses of Parker, Fowler and a third person in connection with the investment.

It is unclear what the evidence shows how they are rated.

In August 2024, the Long County Sheriff's office asked the GBI to examine allegations for embezzling district funds. What they found out was that several people stolen money from the district through various programs to benefit personally.

Further arrests could be available, say officials.

Parker and Fowler were instructed in Tatnall County's prison. Officials say that the examination is active and continuous.
