Sheriff's Office publishes Bodycam video in QB Carson Beck Car theft

The former quarterback from Georgia, Carson Beck, was the victim of a high-end theft when thieves collapsed his house in Miami and carried out with his Lamborghini and Mercedes-Benz.

Beck is currently playing for Miami Hurricanes. Previously, he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, where he was two national championships in 2021 and 2022.

What we know:

Beck and his girlfriend had recently moved to their house in Miami, and their security system was not yet active at the time of break -in.

According to the police, the thieves moved his girlfriend's Range Rover for the first time before steel Beck's luxury vehicles.

Surveillance material and law enforcement reports indicate that the suspects are specifically aimed at the high-end cars.

The authorities arrested the 20-year-old Tykwon Anderson, who, together with two others, broke a fence into the Range Rover and used it to open the garage door, giving them access to the vehicles inside. The police said Anderson later stood the break -in.

The background story:

Beck told the police that the only unlocked entry point was the garage door with which the suspicious access had gained.

The couple had left their car keys in the house and made it easier for the thieves to take the vehicles as soon as they entered.

What's next:

When he is convicted, Anderson is more than 30 years in prison. The case has increased growing concerns regarding high-end vehicle thefts in Miami, which raises questions about security measures for luxury house owners and what steps they can take to protect themselves from similar crimes.
