Massive flames destroy the building in the Northwest Oklahoma City Apartment Complex

Sky 5 showed big flames from one of the buildings and burned grass nearby.

Several crews fought for a destructive fire that produced large flames in an apartment complex in an apartment complex in northwest of Oklahoma City on Friday morning. >> Sky 5 flew across the scene. The fire started around 6:30 a.m. in the Lakeside Village Apartments, which is located at Wilshire Boulevard near Northwest Expressway. Sky 5, the only news helicopter in the air on weekday morning, showed big flames from one of the buildings and sunk grass nearby. The roof in the majority of the building was destroyed and Sky 5 saw several units damaged. Sky 5 Pilot Chase Rutledge reported that firefighters could get to the second floor to fight the flames from below. The crews got the fire under control and continued to release hot spots. Annual van were outside the building, but it is not known whether someone was injured. Chase says that at least one person has been checked out. The neighbors said Koco 5 that they woke up with the sound of immersion outside of their apartment. Koco 5 will provide more details if they are available.
