ASU football that returns the 2nd production, says ESPN

Everyone knows the exercise. Apart from Cam SkatteBebo and some other outstanding outstanding football, ASU football from a special 2024 season will return a large part of its squad.

It returns so much that Espn only has Clemson in front of the Sun Devils in the way in which his model production resets production, which makes sense, since running back is not weighted as much as other positions.

Instead, offensive positions are rated as such: 40% for snapshots in the offensive line, 35% for the reception of yards from Wide recipients and tight ends, 22% for quarterback -Passing -Yards and finally 3% for backing back rushing yards.

There, ASU Sam Leavitt, Jordyn Tyson and Chamon Metäyer brings back, and pay four of the five of the five start -off -offensive linemen dividends.

The defense can be set up even more than the crime for a repetition. Of the 17 defensive players who play at least 200 snapshots, 14 return, including all to a member of the front (Jeff Clark).

The defense figures were calculated as such: 66% for the return of snapshots, 19% for the return of duels and 15% for duels for a loss.

The Sun Devils are in an exclusive group in relation to the recent history, since a bar only 22 (out of 398) other FBS teams have clarified in the last three seasons by returning more than 78% of their production. Clemson was the only other team that did this this season.

Bill Connelly from ESPN writes that ASU has the chance to surpass the incoming return to the mean in narrow games, which won six out of seven in 2024:

Outside of SkatteBebo, this was a terribly young team that has the opportunity to compensate for a potential reversal in the fortune of the huge play by being good enough to avoid close games as a whole.

How does the rest of the Big 12 stack behind ASU?

The national average values for the return of production have steadily withdrawn in recent years due to the transfer portal age and dropped from 76.7% in 2025 to 53.7% in 2021. This is before the spring transmission window from April 16 to 25.

Above the national average, however, the BIG 12 is a conference, which is 60% to guide all conferences. The SEC was directly back at 59.3%, followed by the ACC at 59.1%and the big ten at 56.2%.

Texas Tech, who was the only team that defeated ASU with a healthy Sam Leavitt in the regular 2024 season, is not far behind ASU behind ASU and is still in the national top 5, even with its third transfer class. It is likely that it will be one of the greatest threats to repeat the Sun Devils' repeat efforts.
