Suspicious, victim identified after fatal shooting in Claremore | News

Claremore, Okla. – A man is in prison in Claremore after a shootout in Claremore on Thursday.

According to Rogers County's office, Callers reported a shootout near the South 4180 Road and the East 390 Road on Thursday shortly before 5 p.m.

The deputies answered and found Travis Casey with several gunshot wounds. He was declared dead on site.

An affidavit says that the suspect, 43-year-old Mario Greene, was arrested at the scene. The MPs said Greene had ammunition in his pocket, which corresponded to the ammunition, which was used in the shootout.

Greene was taken to the Rogers County prison while the MPs examined.

According to the witnesses on site, Greene approached Casey and a group of people when they entered a caravan. Witnesses believed that Greene had a firearm because his hand was hidden behind his back and he seemed angry.

An argument followed and several shots were fired. When witnesses left the trailer, they found Casey with gunshot wounds and Green with a weapon, according to the affidavit.

Greene allegedly focused on the witnesses when they tried to provide aids for Casey.

The investigators spoke to Greene, who said he shot Casey with a pistol that he later hidden. Greene told the investigators that he had a firearm to protect himself from Casey, which he accused of stealing his father's vehicle in an ongoing argument.

The affidavit said Greene told the MPs that he had broken into his father's house and stole the pistol used by the shootout. He said he didn't think Casey died, but felt threatened by him during her argument.

Greene, a convicted criminal, was arrested and booked in Roger's first degree in Rogers County prison, with a fatal weapon and possession of a firearm after an earlier conviction of a crime. It is recorded without bond.
