WWE Cancels planned title match for tonight Smackdown, Big Change & Updates announced

As expected, WWE announced a one-night tournament for today's episode of Smackdown.

Before the WWE elimination chamber: Toronto “Go -Home” episode from Smackdown in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, La Knight against Shinsuke Nakamura for WWE United States Championship was the only complete game that was announced.

It is now.

Instead, a one-night tournament takes place to determine who gets the next shot at the WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.

WWE released a briefly news video with the general manager of Smackdown on Friday evening, with the Shot Caller from Blue Brand La Knight against Santos Escobar, Carmelo Hayes against Braun Strowman and Andrade against Solo Sikoa.

An undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhoded, an appearance by the WWE Hall of Fame legend Trish Stratus, as well as the US WWE master of the WWE, Chelsea Green, is also advertised for today's show against an opponent that has not yet been announced.
