Avion Water Co. Rohr along the Knott Road; The millions of gallons

Bend, ore. (KTVZ)-A rock broke on Thursday afternoon an buried avion water Co. pipeline in the Knott Road in Southern Bend. He sent up to 1 million gallons water that was spilled around the area, damaged two houses and left around 100 customers under a cooking water message for a few days.

Jason Wick, President of Avion Water Co. Thursday, as a rock that had taken the break against the 18-inch width PVC tube (plastic) pipe.

“You did not use the return filling properly during the day,” said Wick, adding that the pipe was installed in the nineties. “Over the years, the street vibration made the rock moved” and came into contact with the pipe, which finally led to the leak, he said.

The Avion officer estimated that 750,000 to 1 million gallons were cast water before the crews completed repairs on Thursday at 9 p.m.

Houses in the Woodside Ranch subordination and other nearby districts north of the Knott Road were affected by the cooking water message.

Preventive cooking water known after such leaks and repairs are issued, since water samples have to be presented to a test laboratory in order to be sure that they are safe for drinking and other uses.

It should take about three days for the test results to be achieved, and if they are deleted, you can raise the cooking water message, said Wick.

According to Wick, the damage was limited by water pollution and comprised two houses and “a little damage” on the shoulder along the Knott Road.
