Fire breaks out in West Hartford in the 4-story apartment complex

West Hartford, Conn. (WfSB) – A fire broke out in a 4 -story residential complex this afternoon.

The police and the fire from West Hartford reacted to the 98 Caya Avenue at 3:37 p.m.

The police arrived on site to find strong smoke from the apartment.

The fire brigade came on site at 3:43 p.m. and discovered a fire in an apartment on the 3rd floor.

The fire was put down at 3:52 p.m.

Fortunately, all residents were able to evacuate.

According to the fire chief, there were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

The cause of the fire is examined.

“The office of the West Hartford Building Office is currently evaluating the structure of whether the apartments can be occupied again this evening, but for the time being the smoke and water damage seems to be limited to the home of origin, and other units will probably be suitable for the occupancy,” said fire chief Greg H. Priest.
