Trainer Tim Walton receives the 1,000. Victory when Florida softball Samford dominates 9-1

Gainesville, Florida (WCJB) – On Friday evening Florida softball scored the story when head coach Tim Walton his 1,000. Career victory with the Gators in a dominant 9-1 victory over Samford and ended the game in just six innerings. Walton's milestone victory contributes to his legendary career and consolidates his place as one of the most successful coaches in College Softball.

The game was a shop window from Florida's offensive firepower and solid execution with important contributions from several players.

In the first inn, Taylor Shumaker started things with a single in the middle and brought Kendra Falby for the first run of the game. Just a few moments later, Kenleigh Cahalan doubled in two more runs when Shumaker and Korbie Otis crossed the plate to provide Florida a 3-0 lead.

In the third inning, Florida added its growing lead. Otis rose in the middle, rose to second place at the throw and scored Shumakers, with the gators rising 4: 0. The crime did not stop here. Reagan Walsh doubled to the left center to get Otis, and Gabi comia followed with her own double and achieved Mia Williams and Walsh to extend the lead to 7-0.

Samford managed to get to the board in the fourth inning, but Florida replied quickly in the fifth. Walsh doubled the left field line and took the lead 8-1 in Cahalan. The Gators sealed the game in the sixth when Cahalan flows to the midfield and shumakers achieved a victim flight for the 9-1 victory.

With this victory, coach Walton marked a large milestone in his famous career and strengthened his legacy as one of the best coaches in college top ball.
