He filmed fire on social media, now he is being commissioned to set one

The 21-year-old was charged with a second degree, malicious burning and causing a wrong fire alarm.

Newburg, Md. – On Friday a Calvert County man was arrested when he was accused of putting a fire in Maryland and then turning the firefighters' reaction to social media views.

Joshua Christian-Stanley Jackson by Prince Frederick was arrested in the nearby Charles County. The 21-year-old, who was known to publish videos and pictures of fires in social media, was on February 22nd with a fire in an empty commercial building in Newburg.

Firefighters said they could bring out the fire that burned along the Crain Highway within minutes and said that nobody was injured in the flame.

Later, an investigation by the state firefighter concluded that the flames had been deliberately determined and Jackson suspected.

“The investigators learned that the first 911 caller … Jackson was,” said CCFD on Friday. “Jackson, 21, is known for the shooting of reactions for emergency services for various social media website.”

While Jackson originally informed the firefighters that he had driven on the Crain Highway that evening after delivering food for the door, the 21-year-old apparently also admitted the fire in the empty building in Newburg on Friday.

“He explained how he had made profits in other videos he filmed,” said a spokesman for Charles County's fire brigade.

Jackson was charged with a second degree arson, malicious burning and causing a wrong fire alarm.

The 21-year-old was inserted into the Charles County Detention Center without bond. State Fire Marshals said on Friday that they would continue to examine fires that Jackson 911 had reported in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties, and possibly invoice him with more arson busts.
