DJI Matrice 400a shows itself in a new leakage picture

In the past, a new picture of the DJI Matrice 400a, which is still released, appeared online for the first time, which gives us a look at the replacement for Matrice 600 of the company.

The picture with the friendly approval of the Russian drone delicacies Igor Bogdanov, also known as @quadro_news, seems to be a recorded absorption of the DJI -Matrize 400A through a window in the DJI offices. This is not an unusual event because LECKS in the DJI community were a recurring topic that goes back to the DJI -Dock 2 and even the unpublished DJI -Romo -Roboten vacuum.

From the picture we can see a similar shape and a similar layout to the matrize 300 and 350 with the box -shaped drone body, the folding arms and the same legs. On the front we can see the DJI logo and underneath it seems to be a payload that is mounted on it. We cannot say exactly what it is not, but it could be a new unpublished payload that starts with the drone.

In addition to the photo, there was also speculation about the number of batteries that the Matrize 400a could possibly have. Some people have suggested that there may only be one battery that contains two smaller packs. This design could make it easier to replace batteries quickly, but it would also mean that you cannot get Hotswap batteries, since the drone would lose the power supply if the battery is removed. Unless there is a smaller battery in the drone to prevent it from being switched off completely.

The construction of the Matrize 400 will get closer to the M350, which leads to a heavier weight and probably to a higher payload capacity compared to the M350. The maximum payload weight of the M350 is 2.7 kg (~ 6 pounds), while the payload capacity of the M400 is estimated at around 10 kg (~ 22 pounds). This estimate is based on the analysis of other serious drones on the market if one takes into account the payload capacity of the M350 and the weight of the heavier payloads. However, it is important to note that this estimate could be inaccurate.

DJI Matrice 400A publication date

After the DJI Dock 3 has been launched, DJI's next company product will probably be the M400A. DJI does not seem to be in a hurry to publish this next drone, so we expect it to be released later in 2025.
