Harrison Central Senior Mykel Quito, Center, is flanked by his father Edgar and Mother Mindi when he signs his NCAA letter from interior on Friday morning to visit the Wheeling University, where he will continue his academic and sporty career as a member of the football program.

Cadiz – Although Mykel Quito of Harrison Central misses more than half of his senior season due to a knee injury, he is ready to continue with his football career.

Friday morning the 6-2, 220 cunts signed its national interior to continue his academic and sporty career at the Wheeling University.

“I am very blessed to be able to sign somewhere,” said Quito. “God has a plan for everyone.

“I get healthy and go to the therapy and all these things to overcome the injury has definitely made me hungry to get back on the field.”

Quito, an outstanding traffic jam and defensive ending for the huskies, said that he had been recruited by the cardinals as a return.

“I like the offensive better, especially if I scored touchdowns.”

During his career at the huskies, he wore the ball 552 times for 3,460 yards and reached the end zone 44 times. These numbers are basically two seasons because he was a backup as a newcomer.

“It fits him well. We are lucky enough to have such an outstanding program like Wheeling here basically in our garden, ”said Anthony Hayes, head coach of Harrison Central head coach. “Coach (ZAC) Bruney did an excellent job to build this program from scratch and so that we are lucky enough to send one of our athletes is something special.”

Quito said his only other option was Ashland University.

He said that part of the recruitment dropped when he was injured.

“It was very disappointing, but I missed most of his senior season, but I learned to look ahead and not look back,” added Quito. “I have built up a lot of friendships between the coaches and the players.”

“It stinks,” said Hayes about the injury. “We all take these risks when we play, but when you see that a child misses something, especially his senior season, your heart runs out for him.

“We see and his family also does what goes to the athlete. Everyone works behind the scenes when nobody watches, ”added Hayes. “Everything happens for a certain reason and we are not to question these things. Mykel is aware that another opens when a door closes.

“It was very unfortunate that he missed so much of his last season. However, he was never absent. He may not have participated actively, but he was present, ”emphasized Hayes. “He supported his teammates throughout the football and basketball season and now in the route season.

“I know in my heart that Mykel never took a opportunity for granted. We viewed his injury as a bump on the street, ”noted Hayes. “How will he deal with these adversity? Will he lean back and have him consumed or will he work harder to get better? In typical Mykel Quito fashion, when adversities show his face, he always goes to this first to climb the mountain. “

Quito, the son of Edgar and Mindi Quito of Cadiz, will enable a main status in physiotherapy.
