The study of the deep sea often requires large, expensive devices and special research ships – but GSO Ph.D. The student Christine de Silva is working on changing that. Enter the BRUV: a bait -underwater video system that is smaller, more affordable and not to be done. In this innovative tool, research with deep sea sharks becomes more accessible by collecting film material without the need for a complex infrastructure.
