1 dead, 1 critically injured in Goldsboro Shooting at the North Berkeley Boulevard

Goldsboro, NC (WTVD) – One person is dead and another injured after a shootout in Goldsboro on Friday.

The police said the officers answered calls for shots at 5:21 p.m. at the North Berkeley Boulevard. When the officials arrived, they found the 32-year-old Quandre Weeks of Goldsboro, who was declared dead at the scene.

The police said a second victim that was identified as Icshon Zaquan Jones, later came to hospital with a personal vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was flown to the ECU Health Medical Center, where it is listed in a critical condition.

The authorities said that the shootout formed an argument between Jones and weeks. The incident seemed to be isolated and there is no threat to the public.
