Stammy women first after day three of the CAA championships

Hampton, va. – Behind four individual events winners, including three school record appearances, the swimming team of William & Mary Women's Swimming came back to first place after the third day of the CAA swimming championships in the Hampton Aquaplex.

Together, the trunk had eight podium for the day.

  • The trunk saw an outstanding performance of newcomers Claire NeillyThe one school record time of 4: 14.71 in women 400 sponge to win the event. In December she broke her own school record of 4: 15.28 on the WVU Invitational.
  • Ellie Scherer was also a champion in 100 breast swimming and set a school record with a brand of 1: 00.19. She followed from her Lindsay Juhlin In second place at 1: 00.91, also a personal best.
  • Tess Lankford With her time from 1: 48.42 Gold taken home.
  • In the 200 freestyle relay of women, the team of Zoe ArakelianPresent Flynn TruskettPresent Sarah DunhamPresent Caroline Burgeson I teamed up to set up a program record with a time of 1: 30.83 when you won the event.
  • Juhlin also became runner-up in the 100-butterfly and dived with 53.31.
  • On the men's side, Aiden Bond came third with his time of 1: 36.20 in 200 freestyle.
  • In the 200 freestyle relay of the men, the trunk took third place with a time of 1: 19.08 behind Alex VallierePresent Logan McDonaldPresent Connor Vargasand bond.

Team classification

After a day, the women's women are in the team classification while the men have fifth place.
