For the first time this season Florida Gymnastics has a 10 on Vault!

Selena Harris-Miranda scored her first perfect score on Friday evening in a Gator Leotard with a 10 on Vault.

Harris-Miranda had previously come close. Against Auburn two weeks ago she scored 9.975 of uneven bars and balance Beam. It is your sixth career 10 and fifth in the safe. Her previous five came at the UCLA, where she was for her first two seasons before moving to Florida. Harris-Miranda is also a trendsetter because this is the first 10 of the nation on Vault.

“I felt better that my legs are straight,” said Harris-Miranda about her perfect score. “I feel good to finally get 10,000. I am glad that I can find out how to make my vault. ”

The 10 started a return to the normal for the Gator after the difficult loss of last week against Oklahoma. It dropped a 49.625 at the event, with Victoria Nguyen scored a 9,975 shortly before Harris-Miranda. Leanne Wong did not achieve 10 for the second home meeting in a row, but she made a 9.975 in bars.

Harris-Miranda itself also fulfilled the remarkable task of two 10 in a meeting, but a judge gave her a 9,950 on the floor, so she decided with a 9,975.

Overall, Florida achieved a 198.125 with … Florida for the best of the nation. The Gators ended on January 24 with the exact score compared to Georgia.

In the Spots 1-5 in the line-up, UF kept their normal list, although Jenny Rowland played with them at certain points. It paid off with an increase of over a point for the gator.

“I really just wanted to keep the consistency of our previous lineups and keep them in motion,” said Rowland. “This is something you felt with.”

Overall, Rowland is proud of Florida's ability to react the violation of Sloane Blakely after the defeat last season in connection with the injury of the season and the resulting season. It was necessary when the tiger scored their best of the season.

“Tonight this evening is much proud for this team. We were united as one and after a hard week we took a really great step forward,” said Rowland.
