The third day brings three further records for the Trojans

Waukee, ia. – – Another day, another few school records smashed for the Little Rock Swimming and Diving Team. Jaelle Carlson reset her record in the 100 -butterfly, while Adara Stoddard shone again and lowered the 100 -breast record in the final. To round off the whole thing, the 200 free season broke the record again and secured third place on the podium to close the evening.

The team qualified 16 swimmers for the final. The depth of the Trojan squad has helped in 533.5 points so far.

“It was a great day for the Trojans with three school records that day and ended with a phenomenal diving by Kyra and Delaney in the B final and our 200 -Free relay, which finished third.” said Hed trainer Nathan Townsend.

“We are always very happy to see tomorrow. Finally … Saturdays are for the Trojans.”

200 freestyle relay

The team Jaelle Carlson, Lauren Pieniazkiewicz, Olivia Elgin and Elena Nikolaeva scored a time of 1: 30.83 and lowered the school record for a full second. Three Trojans separated under 23 seconds with a relay start, all faster than the fastest separation at last year's championship. Pieniazkiewicz 'anchor leg of 22.53 contributed to bringing Little Rock to third place.

100 butterfly
In her second appearance of the week a week, Jaelle Carlson secured fifth place in the 100 -butterfly for the second time in a row. The junior recorded one season best of 55.44 this morning, just a tenth of her own school record.

400 im
Sophomore Niamh Carroll entered the stage as the sole Trojan representative in the event. She raced bravely and secured 8th place in the C -final and only took her past 4: 44.51 for two seconds.

200 freestyle

Olivia Elgin continued to head the Trojans at medium distance events and achieved a time of 1: 48.35 to take second place in the final and to take their record just below five tenths. Gabriella O'Neil in the fifth year raced to seventh place and rose two tenths in the final by 1: 49.99-only.

Senior Gillian Boggs made an impressive ground to take fifth place in the C final with a time of 1: 52.89, while the newcomer Carol Heinz followed and took seventh place in 1: 52.93 to secure valuable points for the Trojaners.

100 chest

All Trojans have advanced the finale in the 100 -breast swimming, with Cheryl Poulsen and Erma Duratovic having the pioneer in the C final. Duratovic secured third place with a lifelong best time from 1: 05.76, while Poulsen followed closely and took seventh place in 1: 06.90.

The senior Lauren Pieniazkiewicz finished fifth in the B final and rose at 1: 03.89, while the newcomer Anna Nishizaki rounded off the final with eighth place in 1: 05.88.

Sophomore Adara Stoddard defied the final alone, but did not be deterred and ran for a new school record time of 1: 02.06. She took fifth place and moved by three positions to win valuable points for the team and complete the individual events for the evening.

100 back

Caitlin Romprey won the B final with a best season of 55.48 and led the backstrokers in their signature event. She came to Bybeatriz Comini Romero, who made her first B-end-valid appearance and delivered a lifelong best performance of 55.55 to secure second place.

In the C -final, Sophomore Elena Nikolaeva delivered outstanding performances in the morning to secure a place in the evening race. Hess put a lifelong best time of 57.50 in the final and took the 19th overall.

Dive 3 meters
On the 3m tonight we saw two Trojans who qualified for the B final, where Senior Kyra Apodaca made the final competition of her career and took first place with a number of 280.50, while Delaney Nickles took second place with 258.50.
