Centimeter for centimeters climbs Mondo Duplantis closer to the sky and secures his heir as the greatest pole language in history.

The 25-year-old Swede broke his own world record for the 11th time on Friday and cleaned up the bar at 6.27 meters, while on All Star Perche in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

“I just felt really good,” he said, according to Reuters reporters. “What can I say, I came here to do it. I used everything to do it. The lead worked very well. I just did it. ”

This is Duplantis' dominance, he seems practically safe to win every time he steps on the track. The only real stranger is whether he can set up another world record.

On Friday, in his first attempts, he easily solved the bar at 5.65 m, 5.91 m, 6.02 m and 6.07 m, while Greece's Emmanouil Karalis set a national record of 6.02 m to achieve second place. Only six men loosened the bar at 5.91 m or higher – mostly in a single competition.

After securing the victory, Duplantis simply increased the bar 20 centimeters and cleared him again on his first attempt when the crowd raised her arms to celebrate and fireworks went along the crash mat.

Remarkably, his last record came on the same day when he published his debut single “BOP”, which played about the spokesman for the stadium when he made his record jump.

“When I made this song a few months ago, I thought that this would be a perfect song that I can jump here. That's why I spent it, ”he said.

Since the first break in the world record in February 2020, Duplanis has made it a habit to improve it in steps of one-centimeter and to cross the limits of sport.

Next, he will try to request a third indoor title in a row in a row if he starts later this month at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China.
