Data show that Paul George shines after the new 'Podcast P' Episoden

Paul George did not crush any words this week when he aimed at his own team – the Philadelphia 76ers.

He said bluntly that they “showed no signs of a team that will compete.”

His felt criticism of the lack of competitive spirit of the 76 came only a few days before George took a personal step that seemed to be aligned with his hard assessment.

George not only talked about the conversation. He put his money where his mouth was Podcast P unlimited. This step came less than a year after starting the podcast. And after signing a four-year contract with the Sixers in the last low season, George's on-Court performance has taken a sharp dive, with production slipping to the lowest point over a decade.

Although the timing is difficult to ignore, it is unlikely that the podcast will be the main cause of its fights.

Some, like Ryen Russillo, have wondered loudly whether Podcast P Could be a distraction, while the 76s see how their season designs their eyes right in front of their eyes. Based on George's Play, the Ringer moderator said that he would embarrass himself and asked why he was still doing podcasts in one of the darker routes of his career.

Sure, it is quite possible that the podcast, the preparation and everything else that goes with it plays a subordinate role in George's – and the 76s. Nevertheless, there is probably a deeper, underlying problem that is a little more relevant than podcasting. Has anyone even thought from afar that the 34-year-old George might only be washed?

Here, too, the time of George's break indicates in addition to his decline in the drivingster that this decision was more about regaining the focus and rediscovering his game. And if the podcast was really the basic cause, the numbers do not quite add up.

According to Steph Noh, a senior NBA author of the Sporting News, George performed better in games immediately after A published Podcast P Consequence.

In these games, George achieved an average of 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while he shot 43.6% from the field and 42.9% of three. Compare this with his numbers on days of non-podcast publication: 16 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists and shoot 43% out of the field, but only 31.9% from beyond the arch.

So what does that mean? Well, it indicates that if the podcast was really a distraction, we would probably see a break -in in its performance after each publication. But the statistics seem to interpret something else. It is more likely that there are other factors in the game – maybe even one or two confusing variable – but it causes funny thoughts to think.

However, what if George's decision to withdraw from the podcast would be his way of pressing the Reset button or even saying – we say that we and the Sixers set ourselves for the ultimate tank job?

If at all, this math lesson is only the version of the modern athlete, which exemplifies that the correlation does not always correspond to the cause. The balance of a media career during the game has its challenges, but the idea that “new media” infiltrate the court is not supported by statistics. It's just a convenient excuse when something goes wrong – just ask Micah Parsons.
