Tritons go well in Riverside to start the outdoor season

Riverside, California – – UC San Diego's athletics season had a strong start on Friday in the Riverside City College Invitational. The Tritons ended the meeting with most team points on the side of the women and the second Meist on the side of the men.

Four runners got victories on the route for the Tritons. Sylvana Northrop won the 3000m with a time of 9: 24.62 and set up a new program data set. Brycen Tablit won the 100 m in 10.61, Charis Wondercheck won the 100 -m hurdles in 14.48 and Camille Lindsay With a time of 2: 14.69 taken home the 800 M.

The field competition brought three more victories in pole vault, long jump and hammer. Chance Rynearson jumped 15'7 in his pole jumping and Jaden Rucker Law jumped with a final brand of 23,10 ¼. Bryan Chang 173'7 thrown to win the hammer throw.

The Tritons ended the meeting with eight performances that are the five in the program history and 13 top 10. This includes Cesar Salazar (56'5 ¼) and Zach Lewis (54,10 ¾), which now has the second and four best markings of the program in the shot.

A total of 69 athletes took part in the Tritons, and 21 celebrated their NCAA light athletics debuts.
