Examined fatal hit-and-run near the bus stop

In a speed vehicle, a pedestrian killed in the Central Avenue near the Louisiana Boulevard on Friday evening and did not stop, according to a press release from the Albuquerque Police Department. A man approached an art bus column in the Central Avenue when he was hit by a black Chevy Malibu in the bus lane. The man was critically injured and died after he was taken to the hospital, the press release said. An automated license plate reader near the scene showed that the vehicle is registered with a person in Rio Rancho. The Rio Rancho police department went to the registered address, but the vehicle was not there, according to the press release. The examination by APD continues.
