The baseball team of Western Kentucky defeated Central Michigan 10: 5 to win the series on Saturday in Nick Denes Field.

The victory moves the Hilltoppers to 9: 1 and marks the best start that WKU had had in 10 games since the 1928 season. The 1928 WKU bunch of the base of the base was 15: 1 on the way to a state championship title.

WKU scored 10 runs and started a trio of Homern, while the starting jug on the way to his second victory in the 2025 season achieved a career high-high-high-high high-high high.

A Chippewa -Balk achieved Ethan Lizama to bring the 10th run for the tips in the eighth inn to the board.

A Homerun in Central Michigan and an RBI single in the ninth inning made the final result 10: 5.

Whalen made his third start on the hill this season. The nine strikes in five in ours in the second year left a new career high. He reached his former career high of eight strikes in his two starts before Saturday. Whalen improves to 2-0 and now has an ERA of 3.14 after he has allowed two deserving runs with six goals.

Ross was a triple part of the cycle in a 3-on-4 performance with two RBIs, two runs, a Homerun and a double.

Marsala had an RBI, a run and a double in a 3-against-4 effort on the plate.

Howard-the only real freshman players in the squad-trap his first college home of his career-one three-run shot over the wall of the left field-in a 1-on-4 show.

WKU improves against Central Michigan to 7-9 ever.

The Hilltoppers complete their four-game series on Sunday against Central Michigan. Nick Denes Field's first pitch is planned for 1 p.m.
