Jim and Ashley Atchley's motel throws the motel of the prolonged stay away after the fire

Huntsville, ala. (Waff) – A couple says they have lost everything when a motel all their possessions shortly after they were driven out by a fire.

Almost three weeks after a fire over 100 guests, the extended stay in the pre -town studios in Huntsville is now open again. On Saturday morning the first floor was officially opened to the guests.

General Manager Nicole Love says she is happy to reopen the extended stay again soon. But some displaced guests are still trying to get back what they have lost.

Jim and Ashley Atchley say that they kept everything they had in preliminary studios while they stayed somewhere else because management told them that all their things were waiting for them when they came back.

But when they did it, all $ 3,000 were thrown away.

“I just don't understand,” said Jim Atchley.

In order to prepare the rooms as soon as possible, Love asked many former guests to take their things with them. When the possessions were not claimed, she said that she couldn't wait too long before throwing it away.

“We just thrown them into garbage bags and thrown them into the dumpstiner because we don't try to go through this stuff,” said Love. “For one thing, it is wet and some of the things have started to cause mistakes.”

But Jim Atchley says love called him last Tuesday and told him that all of her things were okay.

He says he came the next day and went to her room, but everything was gone. He says love to him that they threw all of their possessions away the week before.

“Why didn't she tell me that? Why should she tell us that we could come back? “Said Atchley.” It makes no sense. “

Atchley says Love claimed that she tried to call him to break the news but could not get an answer.

He says that they have phoned several times last week and she never told him.

“She said that she would open the place and she said our things were okay. Every time I called her, she would say every time: “Our things are okay,” said Atchley. “I will not give it up. I'll continue to find a way to be paid for it or something. Get this story out, because that was wrong that you do it.”

Love says the Atchleys are the only displaced persons who have registered any kind of complaint. She apologizes to those who have lost their things and said it was a bad situation.

Jim Atchley says it will be difficult to recover from it, but he is determined to do this, and he has set up a gofundme for others who want to help.
