The fantasy football von Debo Samuel to the commanders

We have the first trade in the 2025 NFL-first-time season, people, and it is Debo Samuel for the Washington commanders in exchange for a selection in the fifth round. Samuel joins a talented team that won two Playoff competitions under the direction of the second Phenom QB Jayden Daniels in 2024.

Deebo Samuel: The universal remote control

The WR showed both the Backfield and as a passer with its best season in 2021 as a passenger. Samuel achieved 1,770 all-purpose yards with 14 touchdowns at 136 touches, and its 18.2 yards per reception allows all WRS with at least 25 catches this year. While his overall numbers tended in the following three seasons, there were health problems like last year with pneumonia that affected its performance.

Samuel's best days could be behind him, but a new beginning in Washington could get more out of the WR than we saw in San Francisco in the last seasons. The 29-year-old's elite ability with the ball in his hands is still there. He may only need one team that emphasizes his assets and proves his best.

How are you Deebo Samuel Fit in Washington?

This year there would have been a strong competition for goals with the Niners, since Samuel would have shared working with Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall and Christian McCaffrey in 2025.

The WR1 for the commanders is still Terry McLaurin, who achieved an average of 6.8 destinations per game last year. Beyond him and the 34-year-old Zach Ertz, the commanders are missing freelance agents this year, including Olamide Zaccheaus, and most of the writers on the roster are free agents, including Olamide Zaccheaus. Samuel has achieved an average of 6.1 destinations and 2.8 per competition in the last three seasons, which for him appears to be realistic expectation in Washington.

Samuel has thrived on screens and fast passes, which happened to like the commanders Oc Kliff Kingsbury. Washington was fifth at Screen Pass trials with 88 in 2024, who were able to climb on his squad with one meter after the catch of Guy like Samuel this season.

The fantasy prospects for the commanders

Although Samuel is closer at the end of his career as at the beginning, his projected volume and elite talent with the ball ends up in his hands, the 29-year-old as a low-end WR2/3 for fantasy football purposes that occur in 2025. In very early underdog designs, the former Niner is 39th WR with an ADP with an ADP of 73.4. That should climb in the coming weeks.

McLaurin should still act as a WR1 of the team and Samuel's existence below can even free him for more long balls. It is drafted into Spot 25.2 as a high-end fantasy WR2 (WR14), which is probably not too far due to trade. However, the value of Ertz could score a hit if you consider that in 2024 he was the short vacationman for Washington.

Daniels is already the early QB3 and it is very doubtful that he had skipped Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, but the addition of Samuel adds another weapon to the mixture for the talented QB.

What about the 49s?

The WR clouds dissolve a little with Samuel from the picture and lets Brandon Aiyuk (one week 7 ACL tear), Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall in the top card. With Aiyuk, Pearsall and Jennings will see most of the volume and both showed fantasy relevance in 2024. Pearsall will probably accept Samuel's slot band, and Jennings can deal with lots of work, since he performed with the 49s traces last year, to publish 975 yards and six values.

All three WRS are currently being drawn in early outsider designs in the seventh round, but that should change quickly if Samuel is pulled out of the picture. This trade should give the author more confidence in the investment in the San Francisco WR room with one body.

George Kittle probably does not change too much in the draft shares, but after the Fang (YAC) player in 2025 he could be used as yards with Samuel in the mix. He is currently the third TE lead with an ADP of 52.3

Conclusion

  • The trade for Debo Samuel gives the commanders a WR2 and a YAC type for which OC Kliff Kingsbury can be programmed.
  • The lack of highly volume WRS to Terry McLaurin, together with Samuel elite ability with the ball in his hands, makes it a low Fantasy fantasy WR2 that goes to 2025.
  • McLaurin should be seen as a high-end fantasy WR2 and is drawn in early outsider designs at the top of the third round, with Te Zach Ertz probably falling into a low TE2/3 range.
  • The lack of Samuel gives the WR room in SF a small thrust and a certain clarity, with Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings all viable options as fantasy WR2 or WR3S dependent on Aiyuks Health and the development of Pearsall and Jennings.
