Laura Mathurin began to share her tips for growing food on social media after the death of her son in 2017

A mother who found a passion for gardening after her son had died on social media to teach others.

Laura Mathurin used Tiktok to teach children and families how to expand their own products.

Ms. Mathurin's son Arlo died when he was only 27 weeks in 2017, and her grandmother inspired her to grow products to help with her grief.

In an interview with BBC Three Counties Radio, she said she “began to fall in love with the growth of food” and teach young people and families how their own meal grows.

Ms. Mathurin started garden about 10 years ago, but discovered her passion again after Arlo's death.

She said, “I was 27 weeks pregnant back then, but unfortunately he was pretty bad and he didn't survive.

“I had some free time and it was actually my grandmother who said to me: 'Why don't you start building things in your garden?'”

Ms. Mathurin has won thousands of followers on social media and also started to increase meetings for families

She said: “The Tikkok started because I wanted to reach more people, wanted to share my knowledge, and I think there is a growing community for gardeners and food breeders online.

“I think what would I have wanted to know for 10 years when I started? '”

She was recently seen in the Gärtner World Magazine and talks about working with young people about the cultivation of Essen.
