Florida Basketball Matches Texas A & MS physicality, urgency, striking aggies

Florida basketball achieved a defensive way of thinking in the O'Connell Center during the back 89-70 in Texas A&M before 10,784.

The defense rotations were crisp and active hands to a bushel with steals and blocked shots. The Florida Gators No. 3 (25-4, 11-4 seconds) ended the game with seven blocks and seven steals.

An example of the despair of UF fit in the second half in the second half when the Sophomore striker of Florida, Alex Condon, until after the other end of the floor and the 3-point attempt by Texas A & M Senior Guard Watlor IV.

In its second game, the 6-foot 11 convention looked more like 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots. The only thing Condon didn't do was to do free throws because he only went 1 out of 5 from the line.

“I felt a little more comfortable,” said Condon. “I just have to do a few free throws in the next game. Back rush from the start.”

Florida held Texas A & M to 39% to 39% from the game and Limited Tayor, Tamus top goal scorer with 15.3 points per game, to 11 points on 3 of 11 shots from the floor and 1 of 7 shootings from 3-point range. The aggies only shot 29.4% (5-17) from the 3-point area.

“Our boys did a great job at Wade Taylor IV tonight,” said Todd Golden, basketball coach from Florida. “You know, I thought we did a good job to keep him with him and work him for everything. He still took some hard recordings, was still able to get a bit into the line, but we had to win what we had to do to give us a good chance.”

Micah Handlogten also gives Florida Basketball a huge elevator from the bank

With the middle of the UF start, Florida had to turn early and often to the 7-foot 1 handlogs in bad difficulties. He landed with two points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 16 minutes.

“He is just a luxury to have back, and it only shows how much a winner can be someone without achieving a lot,” said Golden. “He only had two points this evening, but he was in 19 minutes plus-16.”

Florida won the battle in the boards against Texas A&M with Handlogtens and exceeded the Aggies 42-37. UF turned 14 offensive rebound into 18 points of the second chance.

“Going against A&M in the boards is like going on plus 25 against a normal team,” said Golden. “They are just as physical and good on the glass that Plus-Five feels like the greatest victory ever.”

The coach of Texas A&M, Buzz Williams, said that UF's ability to recover insulting rebounds allowed UF to extend their lead of six points in the last summer.

“They were more physical,” said Williams. “I thought our boys played really hard. I think Florida's talent is elite, among the best in the country, even outside the bank.”

Florida basketball has not lost twice in a row all season

Will Richard delivered the offensive for UF with 25 points and helped to withdraw from his 88-83 loss in Georgia on Tuesday. Florida moved to a second-placed draw with Alabama in the SEC and can achieve a double decision on Wednesday evening (7:30 p.m., ESPN2) at the SEC tournament with a win with The Crimson Tide.

“It shows a lot about our maturity, our ability to rinse, rinse off losses, but also to learn from the mistakes we made in these games,” said Golden. “And I think it's a sign of a really good team, especially in this league.”

Richard scored an average of 27.5 points in his last two games and adopted both Joakim Noah and Al Horford on the Uf goal list on Saturday evening.

“It was only that we return to what we are, a hard -working team that comes out from the start,” said Richard. “Just ready to play. We cannot have a game in which we go four or even eight -minute burglaries. For us it only comes out of the jump with effort and intensity.”
