Bobcats drop both games on the second day of Blue Hen Invitational

Newark, del. – The Quinnipiac soft ball team fell in the Delaware softball Complex in the two games at the Blue Hen Invitational this afternoon.

In game one, Qut scored in the first and second inner races to achieve a 2-0 lead before Syracuse brought one back in the third. Jaelyn Gonzalez took over the two runs back to score to score Sofia vega. Syracus would run away at the end of the seventh inner.

In game two, the host Delaware took the lead early in the first inn. Mary Fogg Triple to the left field to score Noelle Reid to knot the game for one. Delaware added Runs in the fourth and sixth inning to withdraw and capture the lead to win.

  • Ella McGalliard After scoring 14 points a year ago, she knocked in her first RBI of the season.

The Bobcats will drive to Columbia, Missouri next weekend to take part in the Mizzou Invitational against Princeton, the South Dakota St. and the hosts Mizzou.
