In 1836 Texas proclaimed the independence of Mexico.

In 1899 President William McKinley signed laws to set up Mount Rainier National Park in Washington. The park received record floods in November 2006, which led to damage of more than 36 million US dollars.

In 1949, a US Air Force aircraft, piloted by Captain James James Gallagher, completed the world's first uninterrupted flight in the world in just over 94 hours.

In 1962 Philadelphia Wilt Chamberlain set up the NBA record of individual games with 100 points against the New York Knicks.

In 1974 the costs of a US stamp were increased to 10 cents, 8 cents.

In 1983 the compact places and the player in the USA were published, starting with the slow decline of the cassette band and the start of the digital audio evolution.

In 2007, the Secretary of the US Army, Francis J. Harvey, announced his resignation in view of poor illnesses for patients in Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.

In 2008, outgoing Russian President Vladimir Putin's election was elected as successor Dmitry Medwedev in a landslide as president. Putin stayed in power as prime minister.

In 2011, the US Supreme Court decided 8-1 that an anti-Homosexual Kansas Church had a constitutional law to organize a peaceful protest at the funeral of a US marine killed in Iraq.

In 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that he would not investigate the federal government that the Russian government agreed in the 2016 presidential election and triggered President Donald Trump's anger.

In 2023, the Los Angeles Lakers icon LeBron James was the first NBA player to achieve 40,000 points of the regular season. He broke the previous record 38,387 from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar-in 2023.
