House fire in the city kills 1 person, say officials

One person died of injuries in a residential building in Pine Bluff early Saturday.

According to a report from the city's fire brigade and rescue service department, Pine Bluff reacted firefighters to a house in the 608 E. 17th Ave. According to the report, the house was “fully involved in heavy fire and smoke” before firefighters deleted the fire and searched the residence.

The victim, which was not identified, was found in the living room area of ​​the house. The fire brigade found that the person died of injuries, but adds that the fire will continue to be examined.

The house and its content were ruled as a total loss. The police from Pine Bluff, Energy and the Coroner's Office of the Jefferson County reacted to the fire.

The scene was cleared at 6:10 a.m. without injuries to one of the 14 firefighters.
