No. 5 Florida men's basketball handle No. 12 Texas A & M.

The men's basketball team in Florida dominated on Saturday in the O&M in the O-Dome in the O&M in Texas A & M in Texas A & M.

Florida (25-4, 12-4 seconds) lost all season about not successive games. After Georgia coach Mike White received his first career victory against Florida in an angry Tuesday, the Gators did not allow a defeat to turn into two people. When Florida drops a game, it has an average win of 21 points in her next competition. The Matchup on Saturday was not Anders-die No. 12 Aggies 89-70.

This is the fourth loss of the aggies in a row. A&M (20-9, 9-7) came out. The Aggies quickly got a lead of 16-10 by scoring six of their first 10 shots. The Gator woke up and took control of the rest of the game and tried to avoid another game in which they had to climb out of a deficit.

Will Richard pursued a career as a 30-point performance against Georgia with a game of 25 points against A&M. His evaluation performance was efficient, 9-on-13 from the field and 6-against-9 from the 3-point area. He started the second half with back-to-back 3s. When A&M set the lead over six in the middle of the second half, Richard finished a possible comeback with a dagger 3 from the corner.

“I'm just trying to stay aggressive,” said Richard. “I am not only aggressive, but also for myself, but also my teammates.”

Once again, the Gator had five players in two numbers. Alex Condon seemed to be much healthier than against Georgia after suffering an ankle injury against the state of Mississippi on February 11th. He had 11 points, including two Dunks in a row that brought the Gator lead over 10 plus. Thomas Hagh continued his second man of the year with 17 points. Alijah Martin scored four 3s in the first half and ended at 14.

Walt and Micah's effects

The potential all-American wachmann of the first team, Walter Clayton Jr., only had 10 points. Usually he gives the Gator 17.1 points a game. Despite lower offensive numbers, Clayton still made his presence in defense. When he ran to the edge, he drew double teams, which Richard or Martin set up for a wide range 3. Although he went 3-against-13 from the field, he still had the highest plus/minus of every player with +20.

“As a head coach, it feels much better when he is on the floor than if he is not,” said Florida coach Todd Golden. “So that we can be able to win 19 when he is 3-against-13 of The Field, says a lot that his teammates are able to improve, but also that he can influence the game in other ways.”

On the defensive side, Micah Handlogten gave the Gator his best 20 minutes since his return. He went straight ahead to deny Aggie Guards, who tried to end it, and gave up Little Room when Aggie Bigs tried to post. Handlogs also dominated with four offensive and four defensive bumps into the glass. Like the most physical person, he played on the pitch, with a plus/minus of +16, although he only scored two points.

“He is such a luxury to have back. It only shows how much a winning player can be someone without achieving a lot, ”said Golden. “In order to go five on the boards against A&M, like walking and 25 against a normal team … his ability to get balls into the offensive glass and keep ourselves alive and to create the second chances for us … He only made a lot of competitions.”

Taylor record

Wade Taylor IV is the focus of the A&M attack with an average of 15.3 points per game. It took 30 minutes to achieve its first field gate against the Gator. Denzel Aberdeen and Alijah Martin were step by step at his defense, pressed his way through screens and took away his lanes. Taylor ended with 0 points in the first half, shot 1: 7 out of 3 and had a large part of his 11 points when the game was unreachable for the Aggies.

“Both boys [Martin and Aberdeen]Her ability to influence our defense was a large part of our growth, ”said Golden. “We didn't have it last year as we do this year.”

Zhuric Phelps was the way for A&M with 16 points, followed by Pharel Payne at 14.

Effects on the SEC tournament

With a Gator victory and Missouri (21-8, 10-6) against Vanderbilt 97-93 in an overtime thriller, the Gators have to win another game in the last two to secure a top 4 seed in the Sec tournament. The four top seeds in the seconds say goodbye. This additional game could prove to be a differentiator when Florida lost handlogs against a broken leg after the fourth game in four days in the second tournament 2024.

Next on

The Gators are in Tuscaloosa (7:00 p.m. Tip on Wednesday, Sec Network, 98.1-FM/850-AM WRUF) in another projected top 10 matchup against Alabama No. 6 against Alabama. The Crimson Tide (23-6, 12-4) lost only in a heartbreaking way against No. 5 Tennessee after a Jahmai Mashack Summer-Beat 3.

Florida is connected to Alabama for second place in the SEC classification – a game in advance Tennessee, two before Missouri and A&M with two games.

A Gator victory on the street would put it on a No. 2 seed in the SEC tournament and give the NCAA selection committee a difficult time not to make it a 1 -seed. You close the regular season with a game on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the O'Connell Center against Ole Miss.
