#5 Maine Hockey beats Vermont 4-3 for weekend-tweep [VIDEO]

The No. 5 Maine Hockey team defeated 4: 3 in Alfond 4: 3 on Saturday evening, March 1st.

Maine wasted no time in the goal on Saturday evening when Josh Nadeau scored with only 2:35 in the early days, supported by David Breaceeal and Brandon Chabrier. The goal was Josh's 8th of the season.

Andvm tied the game with only 38.6 seconds with 1: 1 in the 1st period, for a goal from Max Strand, supported by Simon Jellus and Sebastian Tornqvist. Maine took the lead with 6: 34 in the second period.

The black bears led 3-1 at the end of the second period when Owen Fowler scored a goal during this period, supported by Sully School and Luke Antonacci.

UVM scored 5:20 in the third period with a destination by Jellus, supported by Joel Maatta and Xavier Henry. Maine made it 4-2 only 1:20 later when Thomas Pichette was supported by Luke Antonacci.

DKM scored the final goal of the game with 5:01 on the left to score the score with 4: 3. Blake Steenerson, supported by Charlie Kinsman, scored Zapernick.

Maine was 0-1 in the power play, while UVM 0-2 was.

Albin Boija won the goal for Maine and rejected 25 shots.

UVM is now 11-18-3 overall and 6-14-2 in Hockey East.

Maine is now 21-6-5 overall and 13-4-5 in hockey East. The black bears are on the 2nd place in the hockey East, 4 points behind the Boston College, with 1 game in the hand.

Maine will start the regular season the next weekend at Umass with the games on Friday, March 7th and on Saturday, March 8th, on Friday evening at 7 p.m. and the game on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Jon Shields for the Call of the Game and the Pregame from Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. and the ticket to 92.9 on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

Maine will organize a hockey quarter -finals from East on Saturday, March 15th.
