Davis keeps the title in a controversial draw at

Gervonta Davis against Lamont Roach ended with a controversial majority. Davis' WBA Lightweight title was in the management for the fight.

Many saw Roach as an easy opponent for Davis, but the WBA super spring weight champion was wrong.

Roach gave Davis the hardest test of his career so far. The fight began to take warmth in the later round when Davis landed a few crisp shots and answered Roach with great efficiency.

A controversial moment took place in the ninth round when Davis voluntarily took a knee. However, it was not counted as a knockdown of the referee. The fight looked even in the 12th round when another close round took place.

The judges achieved the 114-114, 114-114, 115-113 (Davis) competition with a majority of the draw. Davis kept his WBA Lightweight title with the kind permission of the draw.

Davis is now 30-0-1 and it was the first time that as a professional he didn't win a fight. Roach rose in the draw in the draw and is now 25-1-1.

After the fight, Roach said that Davis took a knee:

“If you voluntarily take a knee and the referee does not count, that's a knockdown. If that's a knockdown, I will win the fight.

Meanwhile, Davis claimed that he had taken a knee because of his hair. He had his hair done a few days ago and fat came in his eyes. Nevertheless, it was an eventful competition and it was a tie, a reservations could be on the cards.
