EC aligns the NID check to prevent data leaks

The electoral commission will not provide direct information from a national of his data server and at the same time provide national identity survey services for companies as part of its plan to prevent data leaks to third parties, said the General Director of the NID registration wing from EC on Monday.

“If you bring in (companies) information, we will tell you whether it” matches “or” unmatched “or in other words” yes “or” no “. You will have no problem receiving NID verification services,” he said.

NID's general director announced the decision when he spoke to reporters in his office in the capital.

He said that a total of 182 companies are now receiving the NID verification services from the EC data server. Since 2014, the companies have been able to leave some information for review purposes before you added them, he added.

“Since we found some clues to (nid data) leaks, we closed them,” said Humayun Kabir.

The decision was made after views and meetings that were held between the EC and the representatives of these companies last week to determine what to do to prevent information leaks.

“We separated with 64 banks, government organizations and other organizations in views to better protect the valuable (nid) data according to data leak (to third parties),” said NID general director.

He said a team was also formed from the law enforcement members and security officers to check the systems in the companies, as there are guidelines from the election commission to protect the NID data at all costs.

However, he said that the companies can now see portraits of a person affected in the verification process.

Humayun Kabir spoke with his meeting on Monday with the regional election officers about the progress in the settlement of pending applications from NID -Service seekers.

He said they announced earlier to dispose of around 3,78,000 pending applications from a crash program within three months. The meeting was therefore held to discuss the progress of this program.

“I think around 50 percent of the upcoming applications have already been settled. “I am satisfied with her work so far,” said NID general director.
