The blocking closures planned on the I-470 for the exchange of the barrier wall near the Veterans Memorial Bridge from Monday

Ohio County, WV – A section of Interstate 470 near Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge will experience different blocking closures both in the directions towards the east and western direction.

These closures will be effective by MILEPOST 3.0 (exit 3, near Ohio State Route 214 in Ohio) on Milepost 2.0 (exit 2 in Bethlehem, West Virginia).

The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 3, 2025 and will continue until Friday, March 7, 2025, for the replacement and striping of barrier wall.

In addition, the east on ramp on exit 2 from Bethlehem up to the I-470 will be closed in the west at this time.

The drivers are recommended to follow detour signs, reduce their speed and to expect delays.

Officials say that bad weather or unforeseen circumstances can change the project plan.
