The most beautiful apocalypse song you have ever heard in a new video by Sydney Sleadd & The Swarm

“Bürgersteig Risse” is a pretty song that contains the mighty vocals of Louisville Sydney Sleadd and her band The Swarm. It is so pretty that it takes a bar to see that it is about the end of civilization as we know it. The new video for the song that appears on her album Creature untamed Has just been published and makes it clear that what feels like an apocalypse is in motion. I asked Sydney About the origin of the song and the concept for the video:

“The song itself was actually written in January 2020. I had just seen the film” The Big Short “, which really breaks all the layers of corruption that became the creation of the living bubbles and the subsequent recession from 2008, and I only had this eerie feeling that we were back. We didn't even have two months later.

Then we shot this music video in May 2024, which was present in front of the fire that hurricanes and floods – all mirror scenes that are shown in this video because we then have the feeling of what is currently being tightened – this feeling that it “comes down”. In the video we put these pictures and the CGI from us in direct contrast to this nostalgic carefree playfulness from us on a playground and in a Bounce house in a nuclear bunker – I think because this longing is to return at the time when things felt more hopeful. “

Take a look at the video “Bürgersteig Risse” below and catch the band live March 28, 2025 If you celebrate that 1 Anniversary of your album Creature untamed at Deadbird studio in Louisville, Ky.
