Bryan's police officer shot during an investigation

Bryan, Texas (KXXV)-A official of the Bryan Police Department was shot on Saturday evening in the 1800 block of the Sandy Point Road.

At 8:01 p.m., the officer observed a well -known suspect who showed a pistol with three other people in an apartment complex in the Sandy Point Road 1828. When the official approached, the suspect fired several shots through a vehicle and once hit the officer at the end.

The official was treated and released from a local medical facility. The suspect fled into a nearby forest area, but has been arrested since then – Bryan Police and surrounding law enforcement authorities have supported the search and investigation.

The authorities confirm that the public does not give an active threat. The Bryan Police Department thanked the municipality and all agencies involved in the answer.
