College Football newcomer killed in car accident -WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

Indiana-a soccer player from the University of Pittsburgh was killed in a car accident on Saturday evening, according to our sister station WPXI 11 TV.

The 18 -year -old Mason Alexander died in the crash in his hometown of Fisher, Indiana.

The crash occurred in the 10000 block of the Florida Road at around 9 p.m.

Alexander was a passenger in a BMW who went off the street to avoid a frontal accident when he passed a car in the wrong track, according to Wthr-13 TV in Indiana.

The authorities announced WTHR-13 that the BMW was over-corrected when trying to avoid the crash, then gone from the street, beating a tree and caught fire. Alexander was declared dead on site of the crash.

According to CBS Sports, Alexander was a three-star recruit of the South High School and was evaluated to the best players in the 2025 university recruitment class.

Alexander just enrolled at the university after he completed the high school early on, according to football coach Pat Narduzzi.

He said that he was “shocked and deeply sad” about Alexander's death.

“Even in this short time, he all made us a big impression. Mason was proud and excited to be a panther, and we felt just as he had in our family Pitt. He will always be a panther for us. The many loved ones and friends of Alexander family and Mason will be in our prayers. “
