Solid fire harms three buildings north of Maroa | News

Maroa, Ill. (Magic wand) – 11 fire departments reacted to a massive fire that damaged three buildings north of Maroa.

Firefighters were called to the old route 51 south of the East Lake Fork Road on Saturday, March 1, at around 3 p.m. A firefighter told the New Firefighters, the fire was in an abandoned building near the Fourwinds RV facility.

The first alarm fire was quickly upgraded to a third alarm, arrived as firefighters on site to find the building completely.

With the heavy flames, two other buildings in the area also suffered fire damage. No injuries were reported.

All fire brigade units were removed from the scene on Saturday shortly after 9 p.m.

In an explanation, the Maroa Fire Department thanked all fire brigades and other first aiders for their help.

People on the Facebook page reported with the magic wand to see the smell in all directions for several miles, including more than 20 miles away in Macon.

At 6 p.m. on Saturday, most of the flames had been spent and Rauch had dissolved. Most of the building appeared destroyed, while at least one wall was still partially partially.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and the office of the state firefighter is examined.
